Kisoro @PoliceUg arrests 4 suspects over theft of mosquito nets from Nyakabande Sub County headquarters.
These are Nyiransaba Rose, Nyiravuganeza Ansila, Nyiramutuzo Berina & Dukuze Perepetua. They are detained at Kisoro CPS and are expected to appear in court.

The Ministry of @min_waterUg has officially handed over Echuya Forest Reserve to @ugwildlife to pave the way for its upgrade into a national park.
UWA says it is awaiting Parliament's approval to gazette the area, a process expected to take about six months.

Kisoro District has handed over 2 motorcycles worth over UGX 30 million to agricultural extension workers in Bukimbiri and Nyundo sub-counties to improve extension services and farmer support.
District officials urged the officers to only use the motorcycles for official duties.

The @MinofHealthUG has distributed 142 tablets to Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) in Kisoro District to improve community healthcare services.

This Thursday, Mr Kabugo Deo, who has served as Deputy CAO @KisoroG for the last 3 months, handed over office to the PACAO Mr. Rukundo Manasseh.
Mr. Kabugo has been transferred to @AruaDistrict as Acting CAO.
His replacement has not yet been communicated.

Voters of Gapfurizo, Nyarubuye S/C, have accused the @UgandaEC of refusing to repeat the LC1 election, yet Tuesday's election was conducted without the official voters' register. The contest was between Habumuremyi Maxima "Magisi" (NRM) and Bizimana Steven Kabaliga (Independent).

Voting in 8 villages where LC1 elections were postponed was conducted today, says Kigezi Police. They are Gihuyaga & Gahunga in Murora Sub-county, Gakenkye in Mupaka Town Council, Ndego in Nyarusiza, Burunga in Muramba, Kateriteri in Bukimbiri, Kisunyu and Rwamashenyi in Nyanamo.

Street vendors in Kisoro have been ordered to stop operating on roadsides and return to designated market premises. This was during a vendors' meeting attended by a State House Presidential Advisor, aims to improve order, promote fair trade & boost business for legit vendors.

Uganda has officially declared an end to the Ebola outbreak after completing the required surveillance period without recording any new confirmed cases. Uganda recorded 20 cases, 18 recoveries and 2 deaths.

Police in @KisoroG are investigating the suspected suicide of a 57-year-old teacher from Rubuguri Town Council, who was found dead in his bathroom.
@PoliceUg says that James Kamari, a resident of Kashija Cell, was found hanging, and investigations are ongoing.
