I would bank on this year being the outlier first instead of hastily selling low.

@MarkDiLullo @MetsMuse Take the defensive wear and tear off of him and move him off short before considering dealing him. Many good SS age gracefully at 2nd or 3rd base as they get older.

Simien almost won an MVP doing that.

This is not a declining player and has improved offensively as he’s aged. Trading him now is selling low on one of the 5 best position players in franchise history

@MarkDiLullo @MetsMuse No he hasn’t. He’s been great for 5 straight years and broke a hamate bone in spring training, which hurts everyone’s offense (look at Alonso his hamate year).

The solution to Lindor is to maybe move him off short as he ages to preserve his legs.

@BaldPanarin This one is harder than the forwards other than Pitt clearly last. Top 3 is all interchangeable to me… Rangers probably have the highest floor, Devils have the highest ceiling and Caps probably the best combo of floor/ceiling

We also traded Sproat and Jett to acquire talent. Thats the point of prospects - getting them to the majors and acquiring talent (1/2)

Farm systems don’t operate like balance sheets as a pure snapshot in time. I personally hate system rankings, I think they should include all major leaguers under who aren’t arb eligible. NHL rankings operate that way and it’s a better picture of your development.
