@keslupo This query got my 37 full requests (2 of which from editors). And I still can’t pinpoint WHY, lol! But I did land a great agent from a fantastic agency so I try not to over analyze 😂
@Jessica_Locke_ I had over 20 betas on the novel I’m currently querying and found most of them through Goodreads and Facebook groups ☺️ Hope you find yours!
Just a tip: Don’t send your manuscript to multiple beta readers at once, but wait for their critique, edit and send to a new.
Since there are still lots of writers on here pursuing traditional publishing, here’s a thread of times I almost gave up and why I’m glad I didn’t:
1. I won a query critique from an agent on my 1st Ms and they requested to see more, but then ghosted me.
Querying authors, I say this in the most gentle, loving way:
Those partial and full requests you’re getting? Those aren’t miracles or luck.
Those are PROOF of your talent, hard work, and dedication! Please, let that sink in, babe. 🫶🏻✨

@MarcyBes Hah, same! Clear a day and go to a cafe so you don’t end up procrastinating. Once you’ve written just one sentence, it’s easier to continue. Which reminds me: I should probably follow my own advice 😅
@JlineMass Think I ended up with many more iterations on the first than on the last. Although I’d say the last is equally important. What about yourself?
This was my first ever #QuestPit and I had not, in any way, expected the amount of support I’ve been getting on my pitch! Thank you to everyone who supported me ❤️ It’s wild how many astonishing pitches I’ve read today!! I’m rooting for you all! 👏🏻👏🏻
It’s been fun, goodnight 😴🥰
