@GrandestBust@8tsuki_yume@o_sneedy@prototypell I understand and agree that it’s not the most fascinating subject. I know about it vaguely because of my major, but things like “prove it” are not that simplistic in any area of science. Epistemology might interest you, def beats theological philosophy in terms of fun
@GrandestBust@8tsuki_yume@o_sneedy@prototypell Dude for the last time, this isn’t about debating. I think debates are dumb. This is for your own intellect. Because you’re clearly dogmatic about these issues
@GrandestBust@8tsuki_yume@o_sneedy@prototypell Dude stop being an atheist apologist and start reading works of actual atheist scholars! Taking this claim as true without any scrutiny is dogmatic and should find place in civilised discourse
@Pandabunz420@GrandestBust@8tsuki_yume@o_sneedy@prototypell Can you speak without ad hominems, please? This is no different than those mega church pastors claiming foolish things. For context, I am not religious, merely a philosophy student fighting against ignorance
@GrandestBust@8tsuki_yume@o_sneedy@prototypell 😭😭I’m not moving the goal post. Defining boundaries is fundamental to scientific understanding. If I told you that your thoughts don’t exist because I can’t see them and you told me the reason is because they are not material; you’d be right and wouldn’t be moving the goalpost
@Punishedprucuck@user575757576@prototypell You have to read books for it; you can’t learn it on twitter. Being convinced will be your doing like any other philosophical claim
@_Vermin_@user575757576@prototypell They weren’t the first ones as religious leaders of all these religions knew these and discussed them. People forget that religions are actively evolving and feature many interpretations hence the contradictions. Also these religions have produced very good science and art
@CJameslay@user575757576@prototypell Those things have never been the basis of faith even before. This is sadly a rude ad hominem and cna be applied to atheists as well. Please learn argumentation
