@NostalgiaFolder man this takes me back, I really miss playing this version of FORTNITE late at night on a school night with my online friends, genuinely this actually upset me watching.
idk if something switched in my brain or im just getting older, but people being negative about shit all the time is so exhausting. like making fun of relatively harmless stuff and tearing it apart makes you exhausting to be around
A U.S. congressman wants to change how we legally “own” video games.
Rep. Ritchie Torres has announced plans to introduce the Power To The Players Act, a bill that would direct the FTC to create rules protecting consumers who buy video games.
The proposal would give players three basic rights:
>The right to own the games they purchase, rather than simply receiving a revocable license
>The right to keep playing games after online servers are shut down, through an offline mode
>The right to transfer or resell games they own
Torres argues that if a company can take a game away simply by shutting down its servers, then the consumer didn’t really buy the game in the first place.
Torres also hopes the legislation could eventually establish a precedent for ownership rights across other parts of the digital economy:
“If you pay for it, you own it.”
No appreciation for the sacred act of running it down Blue Lane and dying instantly then spending 90 seconds watching Instagram Reels while you wait to do it again
@XIXIXIKSH@Darkknight2149 finally an actually positive comment, but yeah I agree, SH1 was overall such a great game with such a rough feeling to it, but overall still managed to make SH what it was to this day, looking forward to the remake version as well.
Steam is testing a new way to make achievements easier to track.
Achievement Sets let developers split a game’s achievements into different groups, such as the base game, multiplayer, classes, DLC, or seasonal content.
Each set has its own progress bar and gives you a “Set Complete” trophy when you finish it.
New DLC achievements won’t ruin your previous completion. If you already completed the base game, your completion stays intact even when new achievements are added.
Steam is also adding:
• A redesigned achievements page
• Filters for locked and unlocked achievements
• Separate DLC progress
• Achievement comparisons with up to 3 friends
• Rare achievement comparisons
• Completed sets on your profile
• Support for seasonal achievements that can later be archived
• Family Sharing games in your Games List
The feature is now available in the Steam Client Beta.
