I today hosted a team from the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) that paid me a courtesy call in my Nanyuki offices as it embarks on a two-days community interaction on formulation of a third policy and criteria for sharing revenue among marginalised areas.
The team seeks to visit 19 marginalised sub locations in the county; 16 in Laikipia North and three in Laikipia West.
We had a detailed deliberation on how the county can benefit on the equitable share, based on the disadvantages of the previous revenue sharing formulas that has denied the county its dues for a long time, in terms of resources, thereby adversely affecting our development agenda.
Present were CRA commissioner Dr. Isabel Waiyaki, Deputy Director Selly Yagan, Deputy Governor Rueben Kamuri, county Secretary Koinange Wahome, chief of staff John wambugu, CECM’s Health Wagura Taiti, Environment Water and Natural Resources Leah Njeri, Infrastructure, Land and Energy Nabos Ekwam and CO Finance Daniel Ngumi.

In the spirit of championing and spurring economy growth, I made a development interactive tour to Kiamariga , Salama ward.

My government aims at improving road network, construction of Thome modern market,a dispensary,Matigari nursery school class as well as drilling boreholes and reticulating water to nearby homes and market.

In the spirit of Bottom Up Economy, I handed over tents and chairs to Mutara Cultural Self Help Group and Karai Self Help Group .

I was accompanied by Deputy Governor Reuben Kamuri,County Secretary Koinange Wahome CECs infrastructure Ekwam Nabos, Trade,Tourism,Creative Economy and Cooperative Stephen Kisorio area MCA Mugambi Gatati and other senior Government officials.
