👤: How do you feel about releasing your 2nd single album “Made My Night”?

LE SSERAFIM: We’re excited to be making a comeback with our 2nd single album after about four months. Both songs on the album are fun and exciting so we want to share them with you as soon as possible. It feels even more meaningful to reunite with OVERWATCH through the “Night” series. We hope you’ll listen to it a lot.

👤: How did you feel when you first heard the title track “Made My Night”?

LE SSERAFIM: It made us think a lot about our friends. We thought it was a song we’d want to listen to while hanging out with precious people, including our friends. Compared to ‘Perfect Night’ it has a more mature charm, so it also felt a little like an older sister.

👤: What are the highlights of the title track, performance, and music video?

CHAEWON: The melody is really catchy and gets stuck in your head after just one listen. You can feel a nice sense of excitement when you listen to the song.

SAKURA: The music video was made together with OVERWATCH and it tells the story of the heroes D. Va and D. Mon coming to save us. Live-action and animation alternate throughout the video, and I think it’ll be fun to watch because it really makes you feel like we’ve entered the world of OVERWATCH.

👤: How is it different from your recent albums?

YUNJIN: We’ve kept the confidence that you can always expect in LE SSERAFIM’s music, while adding a more mature charm. Musically, it’s a little more subtle so I think you’ll be able to listen to it more comfortably.

EUNCHAE: If the concept and music of our previous release had a more intense color, this time we wanted to create a sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere. I think you’ll also be able to feel the members’ even stronger chemistry.

👤: What did you pay special attention to while preparing the title track?

CHAEWON: To make the collaboration with OVERWATCH stand out, we wanted to show visuals that felt like game characters.

SAKURA: We sang it in English because we wanted many people to enjoy the song. Because of that, we paid extra attention to our pronunciation while recording so that the meaning of the lyrics would come across clearly.

YUNJIN: Since it’s a song where the vocals really stand out, I thought a lot about the singing. Compared to our usual songs, the lower and mid-range vocals stand out more, and there are also a lot of high-note ad-libs, so I put a lot of effort into finding a tone that suited the song.

👤: Is there a memorable recording or MV filming behind-the-scenes story?

CHAEWON: I liked the song from the first time I heard it, so I was excited even before recording. I went into the recording studio feeling confident that I’d be able to sing it well and the producers complimented me by saying “Perfect” I was really happy that I was able to finish it in one take.

KAZUHA: During the music video shoot, we only heard explanations about where the CG would be added and had to act while imagining it. When I saw the finished version, I was amazed by how well the CG blended in and how well the video captured the world of OVERWATCH

👤: What situations would you recommend listening to the title track in?

LE SSERAFIM: We’d recommend it when going for a drive or when you’re spending time with friends you love, like at a girls night. We think it would also be nice to listen to while getting ready to meet a friend. And if our song plays while you’re playing OVERWATCH we think you’ll be able to enjoy the game even more. When we collaborated before, our song played when you logged into the game. We were really touched by that.
