📺 🎥 SURRENDER:
Time and again Kollywood surprises us with such small budget yet neatly written films. Surrender surely falls in that category of films where you start watching with no expectations and end up satisfied.
@TharshanShant as the young cop, @LalDirector as the writer and Sujith as the villain have excelled in this thriller by @iamgowth . I couldn’t help but compare this one with @Dir_Lokesh ‘s Maanagaram (2017) for a list of parallel crime events culminating towards the same point at the end. There were certainly many lags and lapses in editing and production quality that one could notice. Yet the film gets you past those shortcomings with the making style and cinematography.
Kudos to the team 👏🏼 👏🏼

Felt bad for the team when the first press show of #Surrender got cancelled and was not able to attend the show, next day
Saw the movie today. It is this week's dark horse IMO. efficient making, tight screenplay and engages almost till the end. more in video review #KaKisTalkies
#Surrender - 3.25/5. A Decent Crime Investigation Thriller with Superb Casting. Screenplay Is Interesting & Engaging. Munishkanth’s Portions Feel Unnecessary... A 10 Mins Trim Is Needed. Overall, A Decent One Time Watch 👍
#Surrender (3.25/5) - Grounded and gripping. Really liked this tightly packed thriller that is brave to stay away from the commercial format - no songs, no heroine, just focused storytelling. Credit to director @iamgowth (an assistant of director Arivazhagan) who brings up an interesting story that takes place between a group of cops and a rowdy gang.
The film has very good performances from @TharshanShant, Lal and Sujith Shankar, and is very clear with its intent. It does have some rough patches (Muniskanth angle is unnecessary) and never fires on all cylinders, but turns out to be a good watch on the whole.
I also liked how the cinematography and the music in the film were done, they are put together well and don't feel out of place.
Surrender is a punchy thriller to check out in cinemas this weekend for sure. I wasn't expecting much after the trailer but was pleasantly surprised on how engaging the film was, for most parts.
The first recommendation for this week is actor #Tharshan's #Surrender. A neat gripping crime drama with a tight plot and an excellent cast. @TharshanShant is just perfect as a trainee sub-inspector. Seems like Tamil cinema has found yet another good young hero.
Equally impressed by @iamgowth 's direction. #SujithShanker delivers yet another exceptional performance in this one as the antagonist.
The film scores an impressive 3.5 stars out of five.
#Surrender is a film that is definitely worth the money you spend on a ticket. Complete review to be out by end of day.
