Zer0’s Legion thinks Space Engineers 2’s new Colonization System is a game changer - and I agree.
https://t.co/KiswKS4t4d
And this is just the first version.
We’re planning to make colonization far more:
• Meaningful (visible world changes, sector upgrades)
• Intuitive (clear goals, better UI/UX)
• Rewarding (stronger progression & rewards)
• Robust in SP, co-op, and MP
• Independent of story or player progression
• Connected to Contracts, NPCs, threats, and the whole Almagest
More to come.
@RangerBoard I was hoping it was going to transform but it doesn't seem to be able to, seems odd to release a "best" version of something and prioritise sounds over improving the original functionality of the toy.
We'll see I guess, I'm still hoping he will have more articulation or something
@CptSean2151@SpaceEngineersG They post about it every week on their blog, or you can go to YouTube and search for Space Engineers 2 and see loads of videos collating the information.
@RangerBoard Oh yeah, I get that, it just doesn't feel as much of a sizeable upgrade compared to some of the others. The swappable panels are cool though, especially as the Mystic Force one doesn't have that and I'm sure it'll be cool release for people that don't have the original.
@kr4snalogrodowq@SpaceEngineersG The people who make 3D models aren't the people coding the survival mode. And besides, don't you think they've made these for survival mode they are working on and just added them early?
@BLucianX@SpaceEngineersG They're not, the early game is being simplified and the mid to late game is being made massively more complex. You can only craft 5-6 components with your suit, there's around 50-60 in total.
@Marxon1134x@noobcoodoocoo@KeenSWH wanted for years. I can't judge Keen on what they did before that because it's clear Keen now is a vastly different company. So I'm willing to have faith because they've had 3-4 years of goodwill from me. Let them cook, we won't know what's it's like til we see the whole picture
@Marxon1134x@noobcoodoocoo@KeenSWH I've said this before, 3-4 years ago, I would probably agree with you, I don't know if I could trust Keen to deliver. After the past 3-4 years, Keen have massively stepped up, delivering updates far beyond what they've been doing before adding many features players have (1/2)
@I_Love_Jogging@SpaceEngineersG You still will be, the way components are assembled in SE2 has been overhauled with 4 crafting machines that each craft separate comps which require comps from the other machines to craft them, presumable to create an assembly line of production: https://t.co/MbLwHqOSh2
@Pablo_Kmonst@SpaceEngineersG If you're actually interested in what they're changing with components and crafting, you can check out this video here: https://t.co/MbLwHqOSh2
This seems like a positive change unless you can only play games with ingots in them.
@Sich2a @SpaceEngineersG It's part of a larger overhaul to progression in SE2 where there's 4 different machines that craft different components each of which require comps from other machines to make them. It seems to be creating an assemble line of production, more info here: https://t.co/MbLwHqOSh2
@generic_sf@KeatonLaw4463@KeenSWH We don't know how ore will work in SE2, we don't know if that will be an issue yet. You're applying SE1 logic to SE2.
@KryonDeezNutz @SpaceEngineersG It's part of a larger overhaul of assembling components in SE2, there's 4 different machines that assemble different components and the more advanced components require components from other machines to build them. Most of what we know is in this video: https://t.co/Iq5BVgWybW
@kakarot2023@SpaceEngineersG It's not being lost, it's being changed. Crafting is being overhaul significantly in SE2, you can find most of what we know about it here: https://t.co/Iq5BVgWybW
