Make public schools great again

Nna I am glad I was brave enough to leave the teaching profession.
Society loves abusing teachers in the name of “passion”. Mind you, education is a triangulation of efforts. The learner, teacher and parent, all have an equal role to play!!

[IZanok @MfekaZano]

@AppleMokoena I saw that and I was so confused 😭

I sent this to a parent in the 1st term. Her child’s homework was never done, he never handed in any projects or practiced for any of his poems/orals, and this was her response. It’s the 4th term and nothing has changed 🙂👍 but ya let’s blame teachers

[IZanok @MfekaZano]

@kayyyyuso Damn 😭

We also take the shows kids watch for granted. Mickey Mouse and Dora the explorer helped kids think critically. Helping Dora decide what she needs in her backpack to solve a problem? All contributors.

YOUR religious beliefs only apply to YOU. They are YOURS to practice, not impose on others.

I think a terrible economy also distorts your ability to dream big. Big dreams start to include a full fridge, a full tank and maybe an apartment in an affluent area. In the midst of the chaos, I’m begging you to remember to dream bigger. I completely forgot to.

[IZanok @MfekaZano]

@Cocobby02 Needed to see this 💕

If you are an active parent how are you only finding out that your child is failing in term 4?

[IZanok @MfekaZano]

This DBN influencer sent her child to school normal clothes on Heritage day and said she hadn’t checked the homework book in a week.. Now why would you not check a homework book EVERYDAY?

[Katlego @melanie_love_97]

A parent came on Monday to fetch her child’s FIRST TERM report card. Uthi she never got a letter yena from her child about a parents meeting that happened when the school reopened regarding learners’ performance. A grade 12 learner mind you, who are we blaming? 🙂

And reinforcing things that your child is learning is so simple if you factor it into your everyday life.
You can literally teach them colours by pointing at any object in your house but then again that would be an issue because your houses are just beige.
