Taylor Swift’s donation to Food Bank for NYC will help feed over 3M NYers so all you out of town morons crying about one entrance to Penn Station being closed can STFU!
Fun fact: Madison Square Garden is available for anyone to rent out for $1M a day. Most of the people renting it (and yes, shutting down a few streets) do not reward the city with $26M in donations. Cry harder MAGA. 🤪
CUTEST GIFTS! ✨🥹
Alongside the box, guests were presented with an image of what appeared to be the garden from the couple's famed engagement photos printed on frayed fabric placed on top.
⚛️ Physicists may be closing in on evidence for a fifth fundamental force of nature—hidden deep within atoms.
While modern physics recognises four known forces (gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces), experiments have hinted at a possible new force acting between electrons and neutrons.
In a new study published in Physical Review Letters, researchers from Germany, Switzerland, and Australia investigated subtle deviations in atomic behaviour. By precisely measuring atomic transitions—how electrons "jump" between energy levels—in five isotopes of calcium, they looked for signs that something unexpected was at play. These transitions should follow predictable patterns described by the Standard Model, but tiny anomalies in what’s called a King plot suggest an unknown interaction might be occurring.
One candidate for this fifth force is a theoretical particle called a Yukawa boson, which could mediate a new force inside atomic nuclei. The researchers’ results narrow down the possible energy range in which this force could operate—from 10 to 10 million electronvolts.
While not definitive proof, the findings provide new clues about how to detect forces beyond the Standard Model. If confirmed, this could revolutionise our understanding of matter and help explain mysteries like dark matter and the imbalance of matter in the universe.
