Our RR, @Ciowela, accompanied by our DRR, @MhartHansen, UNV Coord. @RBersha, and the gender team, visited the #AFIRICentre and its permanent site in Yaoundé, led by Ms @YvonneBelema, to learn about the Centre’s activities and identify opportunities to strengthen survivor-centred support.

#GenderEquality being one of the accelerators of the @UNDP Strategic Plan, the mission reaffirmed the Organization’s commitment to working with CSOs and development partners to expand access to care, strengthen pathways to recovery, and help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity.

As schools in 🇨🇲 prepare to reopen next week, students of #GBHS Bamenda will return to a transformed learning environment.

Through the #PPRD_NW_SW, implemented by @PNUDCameroun🇨🇲, the rehabilitation of the school has restored 27 inclusive classrooms and provided 810 benches, teachers' tables and chairs, gender-sensitive toilets, paved walkways, a dining shed, and other essential infrastructure.

Beyond the physical improvements, this intervention is helping create a safer, more inclusive, and conducive environment where students can learn and grow.

The Pontahh Training Center has successfully equipped 100 young people and women with practical skills in dairy processing.

With support from @PNUDCameroun through #YouthConnekt, participants completed intensive hands-on training in producing yoghurt, cheese, and butter. Post-training assessments demonstrated strong mastery of key dairy processing techniques, positioning graduates to pursue income-generating opportunities across the dairy value chain.

Investing in skills development strengthens entrepreneurship, creates economic opportunities, and drives sustainable local growth.
