Dear Ayilola,
I've been gripped by depression since late last year; the small truck is the struggle. I invested in a sachet water business, got NAFDAC approval, selling for two years. But I had to pause production, leaving me stuck and unproductive.

💔 To Everyone Going Through Depression
Please Read This
Sometimes life feels unbearably heavy. You wake up every morning hoping to feel better, but instead, the sadness lingers ,quiet, stubborn, and unexplainable. You smile around people so they don’t worry, but deep down, you’re tired. Tired of pretending. Tired of fighting battles no one can see.
If this is you, please pause for a moment… and breathe. You are not weak. You are not dramatic. You are human, and you’re carrying a weight that would crush most people yet, somehow, you’re still standing.
That alone makes you incredibly strong.
Depression lies. It whispers that you don’t matter, that nobody cares, that it will always feel this way. But listen to me ,you do matter. You are loved, even when you can’t feel it. You are seen, even when you think you’ve disappeared. And no, it won’t always be like this. The darkness you’re in is not endless. One day, the light will break through again, gently, like dawn after a long night.
You don’t have to face this alone. Talk to someone. Ask for help. There is no shame in needing support; it’s a sign of courage to reach out. Whether it’s a friend, a therapist, or a loved one ,let someone walk beside you. Sometimes healing starts not with a solution, but with a simple, “I understand.”
Please don’t give up.
The world is better with you in it. The same heart that feels pain so deeply is also capable of joy, laughter, and love. You will find those moments again ,maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but they will come.
Hold on a little longer. You are stronger than you think, and your story isn’t over yet.
