A pregnant woman, 7 months with her long-awaited baby, was rushed in after a horrific expressway accident. She lay motionless on the stretcher, pale and bleeding, her belly silent.

Her husband burst in, saw her, and collapsed. He fell on his knees, grabbed her cold hand and broke into loud, heart-shattering sobs. “God!!! Please have mercy!! How do i tell Nigeria men that submission in marriage depends on how you lead as a man.

A lot of Nigerian men today are fighting harder for submission than they are fighting to build an actual home.

And I genuinely don’t understand it.
Ask many men what they want in a wife and before anything else before peace of mind, before partnership, before a woman who actually wants to build something with them you’ll hear “submission.”

@KelOnovo From what I know, any husband that is so particular about submission is a man who has patriarchy deeply rooted in him. Just love your wife wholeheartedly, that's your role according to the Bible and let's see if she'll not submit. Deference is the only natural response to love.
