As the first physician in my family, coming from a small town in Egypt and now pursuing Internal Medicine residency training in the United States, I often reflect on how far this journey has taken me.

It has been a remarkable path filled with blessings, challenges, guidance, and mentorship—often more support and kindness than I could have ever expected. Every step has taught me something, and every mentor, colleague, friend, and family member who believed in me has become part of this journey.

Now, as I prepare for the next chapter in a new country and a new healthcare system, I am excited to keep learning, growing, and challenging myself.

My goal is not simply to become an excellent physician, but to become someone my family, colleagues, patients, and mentors can be proud of—and to eventually give others the same guidance and opportunities that so many people have generously given me.

As I enter the 2027 Internal Medicine Match, I am always open to new connections, mentorship, guidance, and opportunities to learn from physicians and colleagues across the United States.

Grateful for how far I have come, excited for what lies ahead, and ready for the next chapter. 🇪🇬🇺🇸
