Beneath the green-washed skies of hope,
Where dreams of clean tomorrows grope,
Lies a truth, stark and unwrapped,
A grim shadow, globally mapped.

In Africa's heart, where the Earth bleeds cobalt,
Child hands toil, in mines deep and occult,
Grit and grime, the currency of their youth,
Green slavery, this, the unspeakable truth.

For every battery that powers our ride,
A child's laughter has surely died,
The weight of the world in a sack so heavy,
Young shoulders bowed, yet ever ready.

Gritty faces, unspoken pleas,
Lost in the dust, robbed of ease,
In the silence, their spirits wane,
Forgotten children, bearing our stain.

Promises echo, hollow and spent,
From leaders whose morals are easily bent,
In the name of progress, a blind eye we cast,
To the cruelty that shadows our sustainable past.

The land whispers of Belgian ghosts,
Of colonial chains on every coast,
Now new shackles, in guise of green,
Bind young souls to a cruel regime.

The spiritual void, a chasm wide,
No respite for the weary inside,
The mental toll, a labyrinth dark,
No escaping the brutal mark.

The physical scars, a map of pain,
On youthful flesh, an indelible stain,
Toiling for hours, no end in sight,
In pits of despair, devoid of light.

In this march for a future bright,
Let's not overlook their unforgiving plight,
For the cost of the green, shouldn't be a life,
Of a child stripped of joy, in endless strife.

COP's leaders, hear this plea,
Set the captives of green slavery free,
Let not history its sins repeat,
In this green revolution, let justice meet.

As we harness the sun, the wind, the wave,
Remember the young we failed to save,
For a truly clean world, pure and whole,
We must first liberate the enslaved soul.

Luna’s an amazing and inspiring girl who’s been fighting cancer for a few years now. She’s my absolute biggest fan and always wanted to meet me.

My team and I set up this big surprise for Luna at one of my fav “DJ spots” @hotelbelair.

Luna thinks she’s having lunch “arranged by The Rock” because unfortunately, “The Rock is out of town” 😉

What a cool moment and I’m honored to finally have met Luna!
