The look of quiet resignation in their eyes, and the pain reflected in their tired bodies, is truly heartbreaking.

This baby Hippo was rescued in Kenya after he was found beside his mother, who had died. He clearly didn't understand the situation; he was calling out to his mother and nudging her with his blunt little nose, desperately hoping for a response.

He is now being raised by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

In this video, little Bumpy walks into his room, where a mattress has been laid on the floor for him.

One of his caretakers sleeps in the same room, because at that age, he still needs someone close.

Un grand pré à Denderleeuw le 24 juin 2026. 37 degrés dehors. Les vaches ne peuvent meme pas se cacher de la chaleur et du coup se réfugient sous le peu d'ombre d'un poteau haute tension qui traverse le pré.

🚨 Alerte fortes chaleurs !

☀ Les températures de cette semaine dépassent les 35°C sur le territoire français. Les camions et les bateaux transportant des animaux sont devenus de véritables fournaises !

🚚 La réglementation interdit de transporter des animaux sur de longues distances dès lors que le thermomètre affiche plus de 30°C.
Pourtant chaque année, malgré les alertes des ONG de protection animale, les services administratifs continuent d’autoriser les départs de camions et de bateaux malgré les chaleurs extrêmes, mettant les animaux en grande détresse…
Ces normes sont obsolètes compte tenu des changements climatiques en cours et à venir. Depuis plusieurs mois déjà, la FBB participe à un gros travail de révision au niveau européen afin de protéger pour de bon les animaux de ces conditions épouvantables.

👉 La Fondation Brigitte Bardot appelle les autorités à enfin respecter la réglementation et à ne pas autoriser de départs d'animaux dès aujourd’hui et pour les jours à venir !

🚨 MINNIE MUST MOVE TO A SANCTUARY NOW 🚨

Commerford Zoo’s last surviving Elephant, Minnie, remains alone and in a small, concrete enclosure in Connecticut that cannot meet her physical or psychological needs. Her companions, Elephants Beulah and Karen, died several years ago after decades being used for circus performances, photo opportunities, and rides.

Beulah and Karen never experienced freedom, but it does not have to be too late for Minnie to go to one of the US Elephant sanctuaries where she could have companionship, space, and a sense of freedom.

SPEAK UP FOR MINNIE. Urge Commerford Zoo to retire her to sanctuary.
