I feel modern AI race is similar to the Manhattan project. All the physicist, mathematicians, engineers are on it together. But then it'll become too dangerous to control but eventually we got to a point where nukes never caused us trouble.
@brstghost26 I think it boils down to birds eye vs frog analogy of doing math. Stuff like riemann hypothesis need deep math expertise and a new structure while these problems being solved have the existing theorems and steps in other sources like books and arxiv.
I have a feeling that specific kind of math is being killed specifically combinatorial kind. Is discrete math easier for llms over continuous math? I donโt feel gpt pro helps me much with hard qft and string theory problems.
