Also really had trouble with Rose Byrne's acting. Loved her in other things so it's not her all together, was just the way she played her character in this movie. It didn't seem authentic to and it made it a little difficult to suspend disbelief.

#Insidious - Watched 3rd movie series yesterday and actually liked it better. This one had couple of good scares but really didn't set the tone quite as well as the later film. There was less of the subtle scares and more of the flashy stuff.

#InsidiousChapter3 - Some good jump scares. The end was a little trite. Most of the movie seemed to stand as its own thing. The end definitely felt like it was just trying to make it work with the other movies in the series though.

#TheMachine (2023) - Pacing and tone all over the place. Could’ve been 20 minutes shorter. Funny then not funny when maybe meant to be funny. Overall a fun flick if you’re a #bertkreischer fan. MarkHamill was great, JimmyTatro was delightful, and IvaBabic stole the show.

#DeepStarSix - Never remember details of this movie until watch it again. Some great gore, MiguelFerrer goes insane well, and overall entertaining enough. Sadly lacks in many respects up against other 1989/90 underwater monster movies.

#TheOldWay (2022) - NicCage just seems too old and tired for movies like this. RyanKieraArmstrong and NoahLeGros were amazing. If this was washed out in bright, hot light, and had an EnnioMoriccone score, it would be a fun spaghetti western. -2 out of 5 cowboy hats-

#TheWindRises - Not my fave Miyazaki film, yet certainly a beautiful movie to watch. Don't even care how historically accurate it is - planes are lovely, story is sweet and sad, and music is heartwarming.

if it didn't have #hellraiser stuff forced into it randomly, #hellraiserinferno would probably be a pretty good movie. but as part of the franchise it does not fit. the cenobites don't deal in hallucinations. they are all about the real pain of the flesh. duh.
