When it comes to information consumption habits in regards to bias many people will look for research and facts that support their claim. This is a form of confirmation bias. Meaning we have the tendency to interpret evidence as confirmation of our existing beliefs. #315WeekSix
I believe fake news is so prevalent in today’s society because there are so many polarizing opinions on the internet. Everyone wants to be “right” and be “heard” all at the cost of producing fake or fabricated news articles, that can damage reputations and the public. #315WeekSix
As someone who is not frequent GIF user I actually had no idea about the concept of digital blackface. I found the reading to be very informative and I agree with all aspects of it. I will very much so keep this in mind when using GIFs from now on. #315WeekFive#ccom315

The individual user is so important for the spread or viral content online. This is because without the individual user where would our content come from? This way we have a selection of millions of memes and the best of the best will end up going “viral”. #315WeekFour
