I find it sad that #celebrities feel like they have to talk about their relationship. But, I suppose it's better for them to openly talk about it rather than #journalists prying into their lives to find a story. Better to be on a celebrities terms. What do you think?
@RWitherspoon is an example of a #celebrity who uses her status and power to have a positive impact on society. More celebrities should be like Witherspoon!
.@RWitherspoon has become a formidable businesswoman, launching a company that has a hand in just about every imaginable sector of contemporary media–and she’s become a formidable activist as well. https://t.co/GQnDY3B6qB
Donald Trump's defended his border wall in a bizarre way after Democrats suggested it's a medieval idea and "not the best way" to protect US borders.

@AddisonEmily@chrishughes_22 Totally agree! They have the power to impact so many people so why not use it! I'm hoping 2019 is the year more celebrities use their status to raise awareness of important charities and causes and get society interested in topics other than gossip and scandal!
Although the story hasn’t been released yet I think this will be a prime example of how #celebrities can use their status to raise awareness about a problem or cause. #giveitaread

@AddisonEmily Totally! I think it all comes down to journalistic ethics, news publications, journalists and paparazzi have to ask themselves how far they are willing to cross the line of privacy just for a juicy story!
I have just posted my #thirdblog focusing on the #laws and #ethics of celebrity journalism. Let me know what you think - https://t.co/AoVCr7WubX
As always likes, comments and retweets will be appreciated!
@AddisonEmily Exactly! I think we are put into a bubble - journalists are telling and showing us what they think we want to know rather than what we need to know

@KayleeFullerr I think there are a lot of celebrities out there that use their social media for self-promotion! But things are changing and there are celebrities who use their status on social media to raise awareness about important issues, hopefully the rest will follow!
