India used to be like this before 💀
This is a debate from the 1992 budget session no drama, just direct questions and direct answers.
I don’t think those days will ever come back again.
Abusing Modi Ji for being stupid, lacking foresight, and not planning ahead is easy especially when you don’t know what’s really happening behind the scenes.
So, before making any critical comments please wait for Dhurandhar 3 to find the reason for why it was done.
@mynamebedan Have you considered how in a data viz that uses area to represent something, a stronger border may add more visual noise than necessary. Not saying you are wrong, genuinely want to know how you evaluate the design.

Lalit Modi is back in the news. I dug into his case to check if the Indian government has actually tried getting him back to India. Remember he is a wanted fugitive.
Here's what I found: a department directly under d Prime Minister has stalled a CBI probe against him. A 🧵

[The last couple of days has been such a mix of emotions strangely combined with so much overthinking.]
When @Udhaystalin spoke at a meeting that Sanatana Dharma must be eradicated, it felt like the continuation of what I had heard on many VCK & DK stages through the years. This was what someone who looks at Tamil politics would think is A. Raja content, but it was coming from an unexpected quarter. It felt like the DMK wasn't shy any longer--they were perhaps not going to do the soft Hindutva that election strategists advise.
I was massively triggered by the Sanghi response because of personal experience. Two years ago, exactly in September, when the Dismantling Global Hindutva Conference was organised, rightwing troll armies resorted to the worst hate campaign. I was sent pictures of my four-year-old child with the message wishing that he would have a painful death. These were not the only death threats floating about at that time--other speakers were threatened, some pulled out. Some of us struck it out, we attended the conference online, read our work, stayed around for the questions, fielded the hate.
Having read my talk "From Sanatana Dharma to the Sangh Parivar: Evolution of Political Hindutva", I deactivated my account for a few days, tried to shield myself from this hate machinery. So, when Udhay spoke as a sitting minister--I thought, the response will be tame. This is power speaking the language of resistance, this is not marginspeak, I felt. The frenzied reaction, on the contrary, has been textbook Sanatani -- threats of beheading, a price for the head, the legal machinery deployed, pile-ons. This became apparent when they started playing the victim by saying it was a call for genocide--nothing could have been farther from the truth. The spin factories are working overtime to somehow project any criticism of Sanatana as an attack on Hindus--it is not.
For those who would like to listen, I'm uploading my talk here from the @dghconference. I cover some of the following ground: The historical evolution from Sanatana Dharma to Brahminism to Hindutva to a broader Sangh Parivarism -- Why the creation of internal enemies is so important ? How does this align with global Islamophobia? -- What are the multiple gains in the political strategy of polarising the Hindus? How does this help the traditional elites? -- How does caste become foundational to Hindu majoritarian nationalism? --- and how, caste-annihilation and feminism, inextricably interlinked, alone have the power to truly dismantle this oppressive Sanatana Dharma.
Let's keep the conversation going.

In a state-funded & crony-funded environment of violent Indian Rwanda Radio media, the least people could do is support independent professional journalism.
Why aren’t more liberal/leftist Brahmins writing about their casteist families and exposing their sick practices? Suddenly all are silent? Strategy is very good. Don’t expose your mummy papa
