@JohnPerlman Please let us know the names of those two series you like (if they are on Netflix). The one is Spanish and I forget the details of the other.
@BrendaSisane You found Bra Ike. I have been missing him since they canned his show! Love his Living Legends project. But as @GwenAnsell writes we also need to document our jazz history. Ike?
@NickolausBauer I agree. Our no and low fee schools are groaning under huge classes and few resources. If our undocumented foreigners are at least prepared to pay their fees, they might be a blessing. Every parent who defaults on fees means more struggle for schools.
@BraAubrey Eish, feel sorry for your guest. Takes 4 years to become HPCSA registered counsellor. Guest probably paid $897.00 for Certification: Emotion Code, 6 months online. Wants to earn a living. Hoodwinked by clever American marketing.
@BraAubrey@MaBlerh No services? That's why tolerating corruption, as we've done for 10 years, is bad. That is why DA demise is sad. Why Joburg going back to ANC is sad. Why people threatening the Auditor General is horrific. Let us steal. Don't threaten our bonuses.
@Eusebius@mgthoughtleader @lifelinejhb @Radio702@Jonoloud @702tshego LifelineJhb, which is turning 50 this year, is suggesting that producers and call screeners use this article as a guide for handling suicidal callers!
@Eusebius Wow, that piece in @mgthoughtleader on suicide was the best column you've ever written. Honest, readable and minus jargon like 'hegemony.' And you handled the situation like a real pro. Come join @lifelinejhb
@BraAubrey To build a bridge or computer you need mathematics (Islamic roots), engineering (sorry, Eurocentric) and related disciplines. For music, visual art, dance or related disciplines, an African epistemology is hugely enriching. Jazz is Africa's greatest innovation!
@BraAubrey Linking African oral histories with archaeology is indeed a legitimate field of study if carried out scientifically. In fact there is a BBC series in which the African point of view of African history is being highlighted.
@BraAubrey I like this British archaeologist. Sensible and measured. Michael Tellinger studied Pharmacy. I think he might be an amateur archaeologist but I do not believe he can call himself such until he had a degree.
