Americans still don’t understand why they can’t dominate real football/soccer, and they won’t until they fix a fundamental bug in their own operating system. ⚽️🇺🇸

I’m not talking about money, stadiums or athletes. I’m talking about the mindset.

From childhood, many Americans are taught that America is the biggest, the richest and the strongest, so it should naturally be the best at everything.

That’s exactly where the problem begins.

Football doesn’t care how many aircraft carriers you have, how big your GDP is, how many billionaires live in your country or how many people you have. Football rewards culture, passion, technique, vision, humility and thousands upon thousands of hours spent with a ball at your feet from the time you’re five or six years old.

You don’t become France, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Belgium or Norway because you’re rich. You become them because football is part of your culture and identity. It’s part of everyday life. That’s something you can’t simply buy.

When I see Americans responding to a football loss by saying, “Yeah, but we could destroy that country in a war,” I just shake my head because they’re proving my point without even realizing it. They’re comparing military power to football because their operating system tells them that bigger, richer and stronger should automatically mean better. The world simply doesn’t work that way.

Ukraine has been proving that against Russia for years. Football proves it every World Cup. Sometimes culture beats money, technique beats athleticism, intelligence beats size and passion beats power. That’s why America keeps asking the wrong question. The question isn’t, “Why aren’t we winning?” The real question is, “Why do we think money and power should automatically guarantee victory in the first place?”

Change your mindset, change your game.
