Fred Sasakamoose has died from COVID, his son announced in a FB live video this afternoon. One of the first Indigenous NHL players, he was in hospital for 5 days and the virus “did so much damage into his lungs” his son said. He passed away around 3pm in a Saskatchewan hospital.
