Introducing Claude Opus 4.8: it builds on Opus 4.7 with sharper judgment, more honesty about its own progress, and the ability to work independently for longer than its predecessors.
Available today at the same price.
Footage circulating online appears to show students cheating on the UK SIA security badge - the mandatory licence for every bouncer and door supervisor in the country.
In the next room, friends huddle around a phone feeding answers through a hidden AirPod 😳

Effective today, we are:
1) Doubling Claude Code’s 5-hour rate limits for Pro, Max, and Team plans;
2) Removing the peak hours limit reduction on Claude Code for Pro and Max plans; and
3) Substantially raising our API rate limits for Opus models.
We’ve agreed to a partnership with @SpaceX that will substantially increase our compute capacity.
This, along with our other recent compute deals, means that we’ve been able to increase our usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.
I’m sure we have all now seen the footage of Metropolitan rozzers kicking a suspected terrorist in the head, repeatedly, when he was down.
We can all play a part in putting an end to this sort of police brutality. Mainly by not going around stabbing people.
@dotta How will you be handling when users run out of usage limits and will you be able to cap their usage? I think this would be a useful feature for people who use the AI outside of paperclip as well 💪
@aronprins Currently up to 1,500 cold outreach mails over the last week and a half. Follow-ups are being done and I've just had my first demo meeting for my new software. All of which would've been borderline impossible without Paperclip!
@lydiahallie@AnthropicAI it feels very much like a 'you can use a % of the available compute we have available at any one time' - this is fair, as long as it's transparent.
Ps. buy some bloody compute, i have work to do! 😅
@lydiahallie It's been pretty poor. I think the confusion with the PR regarding the usage limit changes have really not helped @AnthropicAI's case that this isn't a rugpull. Personally I'm understanding of rate limit changes.
