@ShuttleAlmanac Maybe the robotics branch (ROBO) in the astronaut office? Have never heard of patches like this, but that doesn't mean they don't exist ;)
The nominations for the Sidewise Award Short Form have been announced:

@WTalabi. "Dreams of Electric Mothers"
Hi Twixx, returning to action from the wilds of a midwestern state.... thanking Allan Kaster for recognizing the whimsical genius of KINGSBURY 1944, a tale for our times..... or many times.
Doesn’t seem like it for many reasons (EVA console in mission control not active during purported activity, no air to ground talk detected and ATG not encrypted, etc.)
I recall that Michael Piller was a fan and brought Disch in for a freelance episode. Disch was not pursuing TV writing, and the script was a page rewrite - likely no fault of Disch’s.
Riddle me this: Sturdy, reliable Tom Disch, who wrote one of my favorite single short stories of all time, ALSO somehow wrote the worst MIAMI VICE episode in history during what I presume was a brief flirtation with screenwriting. Does anyone know more details?
@planet4589@ShuttleAlmanac This wasn’t a training group but rather a Korolev bureau cosmonaut commemorative taken years after Salyut-4. Makarov and Sevastyanov flew in that program but not the others.
