Wish you spent time in real India, away from places like Delhi western elite hang out, sharing their latest colonial-minded theories. Step out of the echo chamber and talk to real Indians. The problem with commentaries like yours is how poorly informed and superficial they are. And how they follow a pre-packaged narrative. When you see EVERY commentator following the same “evidence”, you ought to ask the veracity of the evidence.
Religious extremism doesn’t serve BJP well. It limits their electoral base. They want Muslims from lower socioeconomic strata (the largest proportion of Muslim population) onboard. They are working hard to eliminate caste divisions because it consolidates that electorate for them.
