Gary Lineker has had an extraordinary career on and off the pitch. A brilliant sportsman, an outstanding broadcaster and a wonderful human being.
For millions of people, @GaryLineker is the face of Match of the Day, but for millions more he is also the face of humility, warmth and decency.
He had the courage to defend the humanity of refugees and to speak out against the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza. That should be recognised, remembered and celebrated.
Gary will be a huge loss to the BBC, but we will never forget the compassion he has shown for others.
Thank you Gary.
“I don’t regret speaking out about Palestine.”
Speaking to Middle East Eye, Mark Bonnick, former kit man for Arsenal FC, explains how he was dismissed from the football club for speaking out for Palestine
@D8_Shaun@SaeedTV_ If Trent stays with Jesus, Tsimikas would be marking Saka. Trent also showing Jesus his number, not making the run hard for him. It’s horrific defending. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
6 years ago today I beat Klitschko & became unified heavyweight champion.
But soon after I came down with mental health struggle. Nobody is ever safe from mental health. I continue to battle on a daily basis.
To anyone struggling, never give up. Keep fighting. God bless you x
@ladbible Twitter comment section once again brining out the weirdos. ‘What, now you can’t even continuously stare at a woman from 3 feet away?? But she’s wearing tight clothing, what am I supposed to do, control myself?’
