Here’s Robert De Niro’s full statement about how Donald Trump should NEVER be president again:

“I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men.  I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty.

Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly.

I see an evil one.

Over the years, I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off. There’s such a thing as “honor among thieves.” Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. 

Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story — but — they have a moral code, however warped.

Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself — not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his “friends.” He has contempt for all of them.

We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego.  We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.  We tried to warn the world in 2016.

The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination.  Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world.

We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags.

The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior.  That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse.

Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.

So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America:
This is our last chance.

Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator.

And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided.

So what do we do about it?  I know I’m preaching to the choir here.  What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls.   We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. 

They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice.  Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them.

Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect.  Let’s not talk about “democracy.”  “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it. 

Let’s talk about right and wrong.  Let’s talk about humanity. 

Let’s talk about kindness.  Security for our world. 

Safety for our families. 

Decency. 

Let’s welcome them back. 

We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.”

BREAKING: MAGA gun nuts start the New Year screeching with rage as a California law goes into effect banning people from carrying firearms in most public places.

America just got a little bit safer and Republicans absolutely hate it...

The new law — which is currently being challenging in court — takes effect today after a federal appeals court put a temporary hold on a district's judge's block on the law.

The law is a major accomplishment by Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom and prohibits people from carrying concealed guns in 26 places including public parks, playgrounds, churches, banks, and zoos.

The ban applies regardless of whether or not the person has an official permit to carry a concealed weapon. One major exception applies to privately owned businesses that hang signs informing customers that people are allowed to bring guns inside.

"This ruling will allow our common-sense gun laws to remain in place while we appeal the district court’s dangerous ruling," stated Newsom after the appeals court allowed the law to take effect. "Californians overwhelmingly support efforts to ensure that places like hospitals, libraries and children’s playgrounds remain safe and free from guns."

Thanks to Newsom, California is a little less Wild West and a lot safer.

I’m so curious about this notion that Trump “fought for you.”
Can you tell me how?
Cuz he didn’t fight for better healthcare for you, not better pay, lower taxes, lower drug prices, or safer bridges, he didn’t fight to lower the national debt, bring back coal or to make Mexico pay for his dumb wall.

He tried to ban Muslims from coming here. He swore. He bragged about rape. He said out loud the bigoted things you used to have to whisper. He mocked a disabled reporter. He demeaned women of color. He made up nicknames for the Dems you don’t like. He promised to “lock her up!”
And none of that did a damn real thing “for you.”

He’s never “fought for you.”
He’s not “fighting for you” now.
He’s a bigoted, foul-mouthed, women-hating sexual predator so utterly depraved that he has taken pleasure in mocking someone’s physical disability.
He’s a soulless, nepotistic criminal conman who in truth finds everything about you physically repulsive, but he also knows that you’re dumb enough and hateful enough that he can use you and toss you away in the span of a single thumbs up.

But sure, send him your money.
Buy his Chinese-made merch.
Because with your money, he’s fighting “for you” to shield himself from the law by getting back into the office he used you to help him try to steal.
I’m sure he’ll remember you just like he did all those J6ers he’s left sitting in prison cells.

And when he takes that social security you’ve been paying into your whole working life & raises your taxes I’m sure he’ll flash that signature thumbs up. And then you’ll feel much, much better.
Cuz it’s all being done “for you.”

BREAKING: Legendary actor Sean Penn brutally destroys Donald Trump and anyone who plans on voting for him in 2024 — and mocks the now infamous mugshot of the disgraced ex-president.

In a new interview with Variety, Penn bluntly stated that it would be "awful, embarrassing, dangerous, numbing, stupefying, unloving of our children to elect Donald Trump president" which just about hits the nail on the head.

If Trump gets back into office, future generations will pay the price. Not only will he drastically worsen climate change by serving fossil fuel companies, he will do his damndest to destroy our democracy and remain in power for life.

"That’s not the worst news, because for that to happen, a lot of people didn’t vote, give two shits, or they were too cynical," Penn added. "They [are the people who say], ‘Those guys just want power,’ while themselves doing nothing for the world."

In other words, we have a responsibility to vote against Donald Trump no matter what.

Penn also said that he saw Trump's mug shot and he looked like an "angry, used car salesman" and a "failed magician in Vegas.”

Clearly, Penn will not be voting for Trump. No patriotic American will.
