Last month the inflation rate was the highest it has been since oil spiked after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Gas is higher than it has been since mid-2022 and much higher that was in Jan, 2025.

Prior to 1953 the Shah was much like the British monarchs - a figurative head of state with no real power.
