@realKyleWayne@AngryBlackLady Not Pierce's obligation. Every actor gets to dictate his career & life direction. Sometimes it face-plants, sometimes it works out magnificently. Re-boots / reunions are inherently flavorless, cf. 'Doggy-Bag' Leftover victuals. Peri Gilprin & Bebe Neuwirth always worth watching.
@mollyxbrady Your 'Cottages as Public Nuisances' discourse at the Torts symposium was as absorbing a treatment of Blackstone and his era as I can recall - by a WIDE margin. 'Common Scold' [c. Tudor period 'Karen'] was an especially amusing phenomenon. Thanks a million!
@davidulin@rebeccamakkai @finejuli @StoryStudio That's great. The negative role model teacher sounds like a cretin, and a very small person. I think he meant to say 'disabuse [yourself]' in the original insult. I assume he would now disavow that remark!
@ScreenwritingU For playwrights, comedians & live performers, responding to a published review is usually a mistake; nonetheless, you can correct misstated fact details (e.g., production run dates) and acknowledge (& thank, if the "trashing" isn't mean-spirited) the critic for reviewing.
@ZenithNightstar @massey_theresa@MiaFarrow Billy Budd is a great, pathos-drenched novella. Written in florid, ornate [some say turgid/verbose] 19th century style, I couldn't do it in undergrad, well worth pushing through. [The final 'official story' is reprised in Stanley Kubrick film 'Full Metal Jacket']. Treat Yourself!
@TonyDungy Seems lots of people got infuriated over nothing. Dak's injury was a compound ankle fracture and dislocation - not a leukemia diagnosis, not even a crushing intra-cranial concussion. NFL Football is a physically punishing sport. Tony Dungy has adequately clarified the statement.
@AaronBala Not completely tracking. I assume you are saying PDC is a Bad Thing, which the Writer must avoid. Sometimes characters do things that are outside the realm of their conceived "character" (rationally speaking). Is that PDC? Is that ineffective?
