@TheEconomist Important to note also waste’s contribution to methane emissions. About 10% of the world’s methane emissions are from waste. Given the potency of this GHG, it is another reason to minimise the volume generated…
@DPhinnemore@joelreland Alignment ≠ access is key. It would work both ways if the UK Border Target Operating Model was fully functional. In agri-food, there’s a deal to be done on an SPS agreement. It will fall short of Single Market given Labour’s supposed Red Lines, but would be better than the TCA.
@WeAreOpenreach No idea Catherine. A lot of Openreach vans in the area today so assuming it was scheduled. Crews need to appreciate their impact on traffic though on busy roads. Shouldn’t be working on the A6097 without traffic lights… 🚦 Hopefully it won’t happen again
@WeAreOpenreach Really disappointed with how your operatives handled traffic on A6097 this morning between Gunthorpe and Lowdham. An hour of tailbacks, no advance notice and no traffic lights to manage traffic. Peoples’ workdays disrupted. Not good enough!
@NottsCC Thanks Stephen. Be that as it may. For busy roads like the A6097 there needs to be an authority that oversees who is likely to cause traffic disruption with roadworks etc., to ensure advance notice is given and to have traffic lights - none of which occurred this morning…
#A6097 traffic is horrendous from A46 towards Gunthorpe-Lowdham. Construction works apparently but no advanced notice given?? Road is bottleneck at best of times. Not good enough @NottsCC

@anandMenon1@UKandEU@CSBarnard24@jdportes@robfordmancs Sorry to hear this! The insights UKICE provided were certainly useful and reliable in a time of much polarisation and spin. Wishing you and all UKICE staff the very best for the future!
@LouHaigh Good! Hoping it remains like this for next week as I plan to use LNER on a trip to York instead of a car. Hopefully my journey goes alright and I can save on emissions as well. That’s what the railways should be helping with and what the country needs.
@InstituteGC@drjzhn Important that this is done as we’re nearly a quarter of the way through the 21st century now and joining the dots around healthcare is something that is overdue… Cannot really call it a “National” Health Service if many of the data systems are so localised
@thomasniblock@BBCSPORTNI Enjoyed the coverage even though it was not to be for Galway this year. Congratulations Armagh, worthy winners! Well done to all @BBCSPORTNI for great coverage and great to see more people this side of the pond becoming more aware of Gaelic Games!
@SarahMulkerrins @BBCSPORTNI@BBCSport Looking forward to a great final today on @BBCSPORTNI here in Nottingham! Hopefully it will be a great occasion and that all goes well with the coverage! Gaillimh Abú!!
@daraobriain@BBCnireland Hopefully it will be more than an “amuse-bouche”! Should be a great game I think! Not much between the teams in recent years and a great rivalry building up. Hopefully Comer and Walsh both fire for Galway!
@DarranMarshall @SarahMulkerrins @thomasniblock As Des was born in Clare, hopefully he was able to watch the match today. Absolutely epic! A great Clare win! Really hard luck to Cork. Great coverage once again by the @BBCSPORTNI team! Roll on next Sunday for the football! Come on Galway!
@thomasniblock@BBCSPORTNI Not stylish but sufficient from a Galway perspective! As PJ says semi finals are for winning and it was still an absorbing contest today. Hard luck Donegal, ye’ll be back! Should be a great final! Great job again @BBCSPORTNI
@thomasniblock@BBCSPORTNI Brilliant match and once again great coverage by the @BBCSPORTNI team. Hopefully Galway can do the job tomorrow! Looking forward to it!
