Obviously you can't just say that since team A beat B and team B beat C that A is better than C. Also youre statement isnt exactly true as LSU beat Auburn by 24 in 2015

To your second point, they beat 5 top 10 teams. mid season rankings really don't matter as they aren't indicative of how good the team actually is. That still really good.

@Mike_Macchi @LSUfootball I'm not sure what point you are trying to make. Auburn had an outstanding defense and a terrible offense. Florida was a solid team. LSU beat a lot of good teams but that's what national champions do. You need to compare them to other great teams. They don't come out on top imo.

@TimBourret The 2018 12-0 Notre Dame team that Clemson beat had 7 starters on their defense drafted and 4 starters on offense. So maybe not overrated like many people thought

Defense was a little better than average. 2019 LSU has about 18 NFL Caliber Players. 2013 Florida State had 21. 2018 Alabama had 23. 2018 Clemson had about 19 and beat Alabama by 28.

Beat Alabama by 5. Gave up 37 and over 500 rush yards to Ole Miss. 2019 LSU Offensive ranking 1, Defensive ranking 33.

LSU will wind up sending about 18 starters to the NFL. 2018 Alabama will send 21 and 2018 Clemson who will send about 18 beat that Alabama team by 28.
