The new capabilities of List in SwiftUI means mostly that the underlying capabilities of UIKit’s UITableView have been exposed to the SwiftUI system. Is List -always- going to depend on UITableView? And where is SwiftUI CollectionView?

Using popover in an .overlay made with ViewBuilder on a button in the NavigationView. Very odd behavior: it’s completely transparent to taps, so you can’t use .onTapGesture. Instead you have to trap touches in the Views behind it.
