From my new @usatoday.com column:

"If we want to wrestle our country back from the grip that fascism has on America’s throat, we should not waste our efforts trying to abolish ICE. We must abolish Trump."

@Amtrak I sent you an explanation via DM.

[Michael J. Stern @MichaelJStern1]

My 90 year-old handicapped parents, who can barely move, had a miserable experience today on @Amtrak.

Normally the staff is lovely but one guy always causes us a problem and wouldn’t let my parents sit down on seats they could get to.

Amtrak, treat handicapped people better.

@Franklin_Graham @realDonaldTrump Apparently God wants to keep bringing Trump to the edge of death. Probably as a warning that he needs to become a better person before the ghosts of past, present, and future take him on a midnight ride.

First @SpiritAirlines cancels my flight, then I go online to try and get a refund but it’s not available.

Then I wait on hold for more than an hour to reach a representative and no one answers. Then I try and do the chat function and I get this.

No wonder they’re bankrupt.

My new column:

If people want the horrors of ICE to end, we must oust the GOP.

All Democrats must vote for the Dem in the primary who can win the general - and in the general vote blue no matter who.

No 3rd party voting or staying home. That's deadly.

@MichaelJStern1 Your support for illegal entry into this country is duly noted.

All you are doing is trying to hide stealing tax dollar.

Hell, it's an entire industry now, fraud and theft of healthcare, childcare, housing, and food.

I worked with ICE when I was at DOJ. Abolishing it won't bring justice. https://t.co/UA6ExDcUBc via @usatoday

What ICE is doing is horrifying. But calls to Abolish ICE! are misplaced.

"You think ICE is bad? Letting Donald Trump build a new agency from the ground up would be a disaster."

I get why people are calling for ICE to be abolished. The good guys have become the goons and it's horrifying to watch what they are doing.

I worked with ICE for years when I was a federal prosecutor. In my new column, I explain what must be done.

I get why people are screaming "Abolish ICE!!" But it won't help.

Things will not get better until Trump is out of office or, at the very least, Democrats take the House.

My new column for USA Today explains why.

My new column for @usatoday.com.

I directed ICE investigations as a federal prosecutor. ICE isn't the problem, it's Trump.

It's time I stop investing in this place.

I dislike the word "toxic," but it perfectly describes the mean-spirited misinformation machine that is the demon-spawn of its owner.

I'll check back occasionally. But let's chart a course to bluer skies:
