My dad finally said yes but complained about money the whole time. After we left my mom started working almost immediately. Few days later my dad called her and I heard some of the call by accident. He was saying really horrible things.
These group of boys were very homophobic, would often use gay slurs to make fun of each other or insult the other guys in class that they deemed wasn’t a “man”. The taunts towards me were subtle tho, mostly passive aggressive but targeted nonetheless.
