Every developer should be learning design right now
AI can write code, but can it design? Not really
Mastering human-centered design gives you an edge in our competition against AI
Learn to design
Your landing page is the most important part of your site.
You could have the greatest product ever developed
but if people can't quickly understand your product, they will leave
The only way to stand out as a developer is to create a T-Shaped skillset.
Developers who combine deep coding skills with broad knowledge in UX, design, and product strategy stand head and shoulders above the competition.
Stand out or be replaced by AI.
Building your own website is one of the best ways to grow as a developer.
It challenges your technical skills and exposes you to design, product development, and business strategy.
Taking on a solo project will skyrocket your growth as a developer
@flakyfarseer@TheProjectUnity I agree with you. I'm all for exploring the dream realm and using science and technology to do so, but part of me can't help but feel like this is an unnatural intervention in a beautiful process
Lord is this project complicated
Figured out how to get images from midjourney API and display them underneath the part of the script that the visual is associated with
now I am cleaning up the process getting to this point
Getting chatGPT to respond exactly the way I want it to is by far the hardest part of this project

and the risks that seem more scary are just the ones you understand less
it becomes a lot easier taking the risks that you should be taking
You need to be going to networking events
โ Connected with other entrepreneurs
โ Potential for business collaboration
โ Energizing & motivating
โ Brainstorm new ideas
โ Grow your network
You never know who you will meet at a networking event, could be life changing
The best problem you can have is struggling to find balance between activities that improve:
โ health
โ finances
โ relationships
you should be struggling to find time to do all of the things that you want to do to improve your life
A HUGE part of entrepreneurialism that I didn't realize would be so big:
Networking
It's all about people at the end of the day, make sure you're putting yourself in a position to meet the right people
you must escape the indie hacker space
it is an echo chamber where everyone is creating products for other indie hackers
it's oversaturated
take what you've learned from the community to a community you are actually passionate about
and you will destroy the competition
