Austin Democrat Vikki Goodwin has run a comparatively low-profile campaign against one of the highest-profile Republicans on the ballot in Texas. But polls put Goodwin in an unlikely dead heat with Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. https://t.co/RuXdBw5IOi
Sanders endorses Vikki Goodwin, the Democratic nominee for Texas lieutenant governor, ahead of his trip to the state tomorrow. Comes as other statewide candidates, including James Talarico, have kept distance from him.
BATTLEGROUND TARRANT COUNTY: In the race for Tarrant County Judge, @cbs11jack asked Democrat @alisafortarrant why residents should elect her over Republican incumbent @TimothyOHare.

New: After bragging last year about Trump endorsements in exchange for school voucher votes, some Texas House GOP lawmakers in tight races appear to have scrubbed the endorsement from their websites. @jamesfortexas looked into it via @quorumreport https://t.co/uztmhDu7Ka
Democratic challenger Vikki Goodwin remains outspent by incumbent Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and unknown to nearly half the electorate in the campaign’s final stretch. Yet she narrowly led in a poll conducted earlier this month. https://t.co/BHeynZ4VcU

Dan Patrick is a bully and a culture warrior. He is ruthless and mean. He presided over the trial of Ken Paxton after receiving a $3 million dollar payoff. You may have never heard of Vikki Goodwin. She is a policy wonk who works well with legislators who have opposing views. She is a big supporter of well funded public schools. The Houston Chronicle endorsed Goodwin over Patrick.

Today we're expanding our lieutenant governor challenger slate and endorsing @VikkiGoodwinTX in Texas and @GwenGraham in Florida. These battle-tested leaders know what it takes to win in tough territory, flip seats, and deliver real results for working families.
It’s not easy to earn this endorsement over a R incumbent. @DunnForTexas just has the right mix!
“While Dunn is the Democrat, he was far more aligned with this district's former Republican state reps, Joe Straus and Steve Allison. He’s best suited to represent District 121.”
"Meanwhile, LaHood was underwhelming and scattered. He was remarkably disengaged regarding Abbott's proposal for CPS, and he occasionally rambled well off topic. When the subject was border security, he started talking about the war in Iran and threats from Russia and China."
