I finally got around to writing up my git workflow. If you haven't refreshed your git tooling knowledge within the last year, you will almost certainly learn something from this post.

My blog is made with Jekyll and exposes an RSS feed. I have 0 interest in moving off it, but would like to offer a free email subscription as an alternative to RSS. Recommendations to set that up?
If you are looking to get back into RSS feeds, I can't recommend Miniflux enough. I run it via Docker Compose behind Traefik for automatic certificate management

I am 3/3 for updating my blog this week. Not that I plan to keep up a schedule, but what posting energy I have is going there now

At some point I'll figure out a way to syndicate my blog content onto this account. I requested a Twitter developer account, so we'll see how that goes.
I've been thinking about resurrecting my blog in a microblog format. Everything I posted there has way more reach than anything I've posted on this site. Maybe now is a good time.
I won't say these skills are financially rewarding. In my experience, businesses undervalue written communication aimed at other devs. But they will make you a better glue team member, or dramatically improve DX if you're working on that type of product.
Devs talk about the payoff from investing in their code editor skills. But I don't hear a lot about the payoff from investing in docs formatting skills.
Not to directly compare the importance of the two, but a little bit of investment goes a long way over the course of a career.
