That's right, GPT-5.6 Sol is awesome and can be used pretty much anywhere, including in the CC harness.
To celebrate this, together with the fact that I'm not going anywhere... I have reset usage limits for all paid users of ChatGPT Work and Codex.
Have fun out there!
Glad that's all sorted and all is well. Freedom of harness is important and we should let our users decide on which model is best for them.
On switching, I'm afraid I both love my team too much and I'm also way too excited about the next couple of weeks of releases. Too much fun ahead.
@athyuttamre But when will it support screen sharing?
That’s the one thing I’m missing, and I definitely don’t want to get redirected to the old “advanced” model!
This seriously might be one of the biggest releases of the year!
- ALL ChatGPT users now have unlimited access to at least some level of thinking models (even Free and Go users)
- All Plus and Pro users now get access to 5.6 Sol Instant for the quickest and even more factually correct answers!
We’re making better intelligence easier to access in ChatGPT for everyone:
- GPT-5.6 Sol now powers both Instant and deep reasoning for Plus & Pro users, delivering more factual, focused responses.
- Free & Go users get unlimited text chats with GPT-5.6 Luna starting tomorrow.
@OpenAI@aidan_mclau This is such a huge win, so excited for free users to get access to reasoning models, and for paid users to get access to 5.6 Sol for Instant answers too!
Just saying this for whoever needs to hear it;
Don’t upgrade to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 if you have an Apple Watch Ultra 1 or 2.
I only upgraded because I wanted my watch to be able to support watchOS 27 and the new Siri AI, and Siri AI on the new watch is abysmal.
Seriously, even something like just adding a reminder or sending a text message to somebody will take upwards of 20 seconds to complete on the Apple Watch with Siri AI versus the old Siri.
They shouldn’t allow Siri AI to work even the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and should instead just offer their customers a significant trade in to get a new apple watch in September, it’s that bad.
To be fair, engineering is the rest of it. Testing, finding bugs, noticing logic/UI issues, designing app flows and layouts, even pushing everything to a repo and sending archives to App Store Connect, everything else is still engineering even if one "please fix this error" taken out of context "is not engineering".
@jason_haugh No kidding. I built our very in-depth term process at our company of ~5K employees and I know firsthand how easy it is for things to still be missed. I can’t imagine how much stuff is missed at a company as big as Apple.
@flarup Not at all, it’s so clean!
Seriously love everything about this!
Do you have a way to auto-import games that you own on digital? Would infinitely prefer this to tracking my current game list vs just scrolling through alphabetical lists of titles.
@jahirsheikh8 Cause Brave doesn’t exist on Apple TV, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.
And for the music, downloads, etc. it’s not just about the ads.
Even though I hate Google and everything about them we still pay for this just so we don’t have to see any ads, but it is the worst.
Honestly curious, if this can call GPT-image-2, then why use this plugin vs just saying “generate this image” and using the ChatGPT image generation directly in instead?
Like what does it do that augments what already exists in ChatGPT?
Interested in using it, just want to know more!
The way I read all the releases seemed like it was just “since release we made it more efficient” not like “today we made it more efficient” but man, definitely seems like it is “since today”. Lol
Thats insane to hear! When I downgrade back to Plus I’ll definitely have to try that. Ill probably start with Terra on High first and see how that goes and then use Luna Max when my usage gets low.
@chogku something definitely changed with the usage since @thsottiaux announced everything yesterday, I don’t know if it’s better/smarter tool calls or what, but goodness gracious it feels like night and day.
I currently have a /goal running on xhigh building an iOS app from the ground up from a /plan, and it’s been running for 3 hours now and has only used about 15% ish of my weekly utilization, which seems like way less than it used to use.
@Dimillian Can you make the “Yesterday” and other previous “non priority” menus collapsable so we can shrink them down if we want and simplify the UI a bit?
Would love if it did that, just to have some “ out of sight, out of mind” for those previous chats. Lol
