zelenskyy has exhibited extraordinary restraint in his (public and private) diplomacy w trump ever since the white house blow up in april ‘25.

this week was a misstep. understandable given the strain he’s under and trump’s desire to rebuild relations with putin. less consequential given ukraine’s more limited reliance on the americans. but a misstep nonetheless…and one the europeans are now trying hard to remedy.

No, I think most of the criticism about Keller is not because he was a-political, but because he was actually quite political. Keller not only spoke about politics, he spoke about specific politicians. Frequently.

So much so, he was part of a secret meeting of evangelical leaders that were assembled to decide what they were going to do about the problem of evangelical support for Donald Trump.

He also created a political taxonomy of which Christians he thought would be helpful in bringing about Christian renewal in the United States. He specifically placed Trump supporters outside the spectrum of those who would be useful partners. That was a very political assessment.

That is not what someone does just because they want to keep everyone’s focus on the gospel.
