Currently writing my Robin Hood novel, backed up by my own research into the legend. Hope to give the true story the credit it deserves: https://t.co/xcVse1y8XG #amwriting
Interesting on Toni Morrison, a writer who would appear to have very little in common with me but somehow managed to pull me in. Her work succeeds in offering universality and so is about much more than race: https://t.co/6RBrQL2p0l
@TheCinesthetic Nah! Should have just started in a dark cave and opened with the word 'Thief!' That's the central complication that kicks everything off. You can expand the world once Gandalf's figured out what the ring is. They rushed to Rivendell so badly and left the characters behind.
@TolkienWorldG There's something lusty going on between Frodo and Goldberry. We get their flirty meeting and departure, but what happened in the middle?
Such a superbly written article about Chinese Democracy by someone who calls himself Gino Alache. Though I feel inclined to state that I liked it from the start and was never conflicted about GnR: https://t.co/CS1KUqirN6
@LOTR_Daily_ Tolkien briefly mentions the slave pits south of Cirith Ungol, but doesn't go there. It's darker than imagination is worth. It is death in all of its grim forms.
@fckfmrocks Yes, Metallica were fortunate to figure out how to work heavy material with deep vocals, rather than having the screamers everyone else had. This made them stand out commercially as sounding fresh, but Megadeth from Peace to Youth especially have the more majestic song catalogue
@LOTR_Daily_ I prefer the Bakshi interpretation. Gandalf is a general, not someone who has a bit of a blub - but I'm sure that's more about the direction than the acting.
