A leader, a family man, a supervisor, peacemake, one who unites, not divides. A cultured leader who supports the arts and true freedom of speech, not censorship & His Excellency President Museveni has exhibited all the above. God bless you Mr. President❤️ @KagutaMuseveni

@KagutaMuseveni@SuluhuSamia Welcome back, Your Excellency. Another meaningful engagement that reflects Uganda’s commitment to strong partnerships, regional unity, and lasting cooperation. Safe travels and continued success.
@KagutaMuseveni@SuluhuSamia Karibu tena, Mheshimiwa. Diplomasia yenye tija na ushirikiano imara wa kikanda ndio msingi wa amani, utulivu, na ustawi wa pamoja. Nakutakia mafanikio endelevu katika kuendeleza ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki.
@KakwenzaRukira Refugees come from neighboring countries because of conflicts beyond Uganda’s control. If you’re genuinely concerned about the refugee crisis, put the same energy into promoting peace and addressing the root causes, not just debating funding.
It’s ironic to hear democracy lectures from an administration and organizations like @VanguardAfrica and @Smith_JeffreyT that has backed coups, overlooked election irregularities by its allies, and used aid as leverage to secure political compliance. This isn’t about defending democracy, it’s about maintaining influence. Uganda is a sovereign nation, not a U.S. protectorate. Your evil actions reflect a mindset of external interference rather than impartial concern.
If your position is genuinely legitimate, why silence or block those who challenge your conduct in Africa?
@KagutaMuseveni The pursuit of lasting peace demands unity among African nations. This summit is another step towards a safer and more stable continent. Thank you president Yoweri Museveni 🫡
The situation in Uganda deserves balanced assessment, not selective narratives. National security measures and constitutional governance should be evaluated within the country’s legal framework and security realities, rather than through broad generalizations.
Uganda’s institutions continue to function under the Constitution, and security agencies have a duty to protect citizens and maintain public order. Constructive engagement should recognize both the country’s progress and its challenges, instead of presenting a one-sided picture that overlooks efforts to preserve stability, peace, and development.
We will not allow that!
#Uganda: UN Human Rights Chief @volker_turk denounces the ongoing crackdown on dissent, erosion of the rule of law, increased military involvement in civilian institutions, and shrinking civic space.
He urges the Government to uphold the separation of powers and the rule of law, including by preventing military interference in civil institutions.

@julius_warugaba@UNGeneva@Jadwong Invoking the “dark ages” and ICT may make for compelling rhetoric, but allegations of human rights abuses should be supported by credible evidence and due process not sweeping generalizations.
Stop weaponizing the language of democracy to score political points. The rule of law applies to everyone, including those who believe they are above it.
A nation cannot be governed by emotions, propaganda, or constant alarmism. Accountability, security, and order are not the same as oppression.
This is the kind of investment that builds a stronger and more resilient Uganda. By embracing biotechnology and local vaccine production, we are laying the foundation for a healthier nation, a stronger economy, and a future driven by science and innovation. Well done to all involved. 👍🫡
@KagutaMuseveni A warm welcome to the distinguished Heads of Mission. May your service further strengthen friendship, trade, investment, and people-to-people relations with Uganda.

I met my Spanish Bazzukulu this evening at State House Entebbe after the completion of their fourth annual volunteer mission in Uganda. For the last four years, they have supported vulnerable communities in Gomba District by constructing school facilities, improving access to clean water and undertaking other outreach activities. I thanked them for their spirit of service, shared with them Uganda’s journey from subsistence to the money economy, and encouraged them to live disciplined, purposeful lives.
