@MichaelSantoli can’t own individual stocks because of @CNBC rules.
The surprising part?

Is this market 1999 all over again?
@MichaelSantoli says today’s froth doesn’t quite match the dot-com peak — but that’s not exactly comforting.
As he puts it, that’s like your doctor saying literally you’re not the unhealthiest patient he’s seen in 30 years.

Great speaking with @michaelsantoli about the likely path for equities through year end and how we are using strategists targets to gauge sentiment heading into 2025.
Thank you for having me and Happy Thanksgiving Mike!
Pleasure to speak with @michaelsantoli on @CNBCClosingBell today to discuss our Q4 outlook. We covered the give & take between economic expectations & rates, earnings, and how big Q1-Q3 gains tend to continue thru Q4. @NDR_Research https://t.co/LdIqJxrBKs
The September Fed cut should prompt investors to reconsider the relationship between Fed actions and longer-term yields.
Also, first time at the NYSE!
Such a pleasure meeting @michaelsantoli and the rest of the team at CNBC Closing Bell. Thank you for the invite.

Finally, the standard disclaimer on #MysteryBroker stuff:
He's a source I've quoted for more than a decade since my time at Barron's; is a real person; is not me; is not someone whose name you'd know.
I provide the updates as I get them mostly because people ask for them.
Quick #MysteryBroker update: He continues to give the stock market the benefit of the doubt after having bought back in at 5550 on the S&P 500 a few weeks back.
Sees likely further new highs into year-end, adding "the correction [avoided in September] is likely to come in October or November." But his market-based indicators foresee no bear market ahead right now.
He thought Powell was a bit more hawkish (data-dependent) than perceived at the FOMC presser.
MB is not calling for a recession here. The Fed is still in that window when the preferred soft-landing/orderly-easing outcome seems on target, but that can change within months. (Cites the 1989 cycle as an example.)
China stimulus has pulled forward some of the seasonal cyclical-stock strength, he doesn't expect it to last past January. The 10-yr Treasury about fairly priced. Healthcare still his favorite sector. Seems short-term oil rally, but 2025 outlook "not good."
That's it. Updates come when they come and never when they're requested.
