Mormon President Gordon B. HInckley said of other Christians:  "The Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak." (June 4, 1998)

Though Mormon teachers use the same terms as Christians, the definitions are profoundly different, e.g. for them "Scripture" includes the Bible plus the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Abraham, etc.  Mormon doctrine is heresy.

That said, I do not doubt that there are some Mormons who trust in the Christ of the Bible rather than in the god of Joseph Smith.  Like many everyday Christians, they simply are ignorant of what their church teaches.
