@FiveThirtyEight How are the sims so low on the Mavs when they're up 2-0, having won twice in LA? Aren't the priors for teams being up 2-0 and heading home for 2 much better than ~55%?

@Calvin_M_Franz I’d say let A be the point of intersection and B a point on the curve. As B travels along the curve and the distance between A and B approaches 0, the angle formed by the top of the half circle and the line tangent to the circle at B will approach 90*

@Calvin_M_Franz Ok so mathematically an angle occurs at the intersection of 2 rays (straight lines).
So in the strictest sense I would argue the intersections aren’t “angles” per se, but you’re on to something with the limit.
