The Nancy & Lee duet, “Some Velvet Morning,” is widely regarded as one of the greatest duets of all time. In fact, it topped London’s Daily Telegraph’s 2003 list of the 50 Greatest Duets Ever. The song is anything but conventional, featuring dramatic shifts in time signature from 4/4 to 3/4 that add to its distinctive, dreamlike quality.

Lee originally wanted to record the two parts separately and splice them together, but the band, which included Don Randi, Carol Kaye, and Hal Blaine, insisted they could handle the tricky changes. What you hear on record was recorded in one take!

I would describe it as a film of our times... I do not view this film as a commercial venture. Rather it is an artful film of our times. The things that are said in 'Digger' are a direct reflection of today's political and social world. The film is so full of artful expression and radical change ups, that it may be too much to take in for those expecting a commercial film like we are used to today."
