PGY3 Neurology Resident at UMass Chan | Pursuing fellowship in interventional pain management | Focused on clinical research, global health, and mentorship
Concluding another phenomenal week on interventional pain and spine. Thank you to my attendings Drs. Lam, Rabotnikov, and Crowther for the hands on learning and surgical training!
I had the opportunity this past week to give an interesting talk to co-residents and professors on the access to stroke care in Uzbekistan. Did you know that Uzbekistan has virtually no stroke thrombectomy services per recent data? @MThrombectomy
A fun talk I gave last week on interventional therapies for headaches and facial pain. Headaches are among the most common patient complaints in medicine yet access to effective treatments for chronic and refractory headache disorders remains poor.
Neuromodulation has become increasingly indicated in vasculopathies such as chronic limb threatening ischemia. Pleased to present on this interesting case of peripheral nerve stimulation and satellite ganglion block in CLTI at the Eastern Pain Association meeting in NYC!
This past weekend was spent at UCLA with the American Headache Society learning all things headache. Diagnostic criterias, interesting headache variants, and injection training, taught from national experts in headache. @ahsheadache
I spent the past weekend a Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee learning about neuromodulation in interventional pain, movement disorders, and epilepsy. Exciting area within neurology employing novel technologies! @KesayanMD@DavidCharlesMD
Yesterday I attended the Eastern Pain Society mid-year meeting in Boston. A fantastic opportunity to hear the latest updates in interventional pain, neuromodulation, and spine care, while engaging with leaders driving innovation in the field. @EasternPainAssc
As the new academic year starts, we are welcoming our newly minted PGY2 neurology residents with introductory lectures in neurology. Doing my part and teaching stroke syndromes. Good luck new 2’s!
Lucky to have spent the year with this phenomenal clinic group. Good luck @wipily_ and Sarah-Pearl on fellowship and congratulations on graduating neurology residency!
Today at @umassneurology we celebrated The Tenth Annual Neurology Research Celebration. I had the privilege of presenting a poster on thrombolysis for those with advanced age, dementia, and disability. Would you thrombolyse in this demographic?
Extremely grateful to my role model and mentor @jana_ivanidze. Thank you for taking me under your wing and making achievements like presenting at #ASNR25 a reality!
This week I had the rich experience of rotating at Mount Sinai Neuroendovascular Surgery. Thank you to the fellows who took me under their wing. It was a pleasure working along side world experts in the field. @MajidiShahram@Daryl_Goldman@rdeleacymd@JMoccoMD@chriskellnerMD
Rotating on the interventional pain service this week. Learning about minimally invasive spine and extremity procedures for patients with acute and chronic pain. Thank you Dr. David Lam for bringing us to the operating room and mentoring!
For today’s morning report I gave a talk on the rare stroke entity VZV Vasculopathy to fellow coresidents, attendings, and medical students. #vascularneurology
