Actually it’s because states have haven’t built generation so when supply is down and demand is growing you create higher prices. And to top it off many states like virginia have government regulated higher prices because they are in RGGI and there are entities who buy RGGI credits with the sole purpose of driving up cost
If I were a business looking for a new site. I would look and see where Commonwealths attorneys are NOT prosecuting violent criminals and not be able to protect myself and NOT go there.
If I was a business looking for a new site, a public announcement that local law enforcement wouldn’t enforce a law banning assault weapons would make me look elsewhere. Ignoring the law is bad for business. https://t.co/SccO2JOZLZ
Now a total of 13 Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorneys say Gov. Spanberger’s new gun laws are unconstitutional and can’t be enforced, including the top prosecutors in Page County, Shenandoah County and Warren County.

Virginia is going to need a lot more dispatchable generation and it is going to be gas. We are importing 25% of our power now and demand is growing exponentially from data centers.
Rocovich, perhaps the most successful and beloved Rector in Va Tech history produced a blistering response letter on the sheer absurdity of Spanberger firing him as Rector. It is an amazing read exposing her hypocrisy.
Reminder: Spanberger’s FIRST official act as Governor was “Executive Order1” which banned state police from cooperating with federal immigration authorities even if the illegal immigrants are convicted rapists or murderers……
I know these Republican prosecutors see this as an opportunity for tough guy posturing and amateur constitutional lawyering, but ending the sale of assault weapons in Virginia isn't something an individual prosecutor can do anything about.
Local prosecutors don't enforce, they prosecute - and my message to anyone thinking about breaking Virginia law is, don't bet on Virginia law enforcement ignoring it.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says the driver of the bus is a man from China who became a U.S. citizen and doesn’t speak English. Secretary Duffy says he received his commercial drivers license from New York State in 2024.
Loudoun County Superintendent Aaron Spence’s evaluation is coming up. He is one of the highest paid Superintendent’s in the country — if not the highest paid. Taxpayers pay him more than half a million dollars a year with salary, bonuses, and perks. And he’ll get a big pay raise and bonus again if the school board simply rates him proficient.
With all the controversies and federal investigations this past year, do you think he should get another bonus and raise?
Below are the school board members emails if you want to share your thoughts:

And the entity that got audited and over paid benefits considerably is in charge without any ability to reign in if costs get out of control….. what could go wrong?
Hard work should earn the dignity of being able to stay home when you're sick. Virginia just made that a reality. Our new paid sick leave law ensures more than one million workers — full-time and part-time — can take care of themselves and their families without losing a paycheck.
I presented a solution. It is more expensive than diesel generators but less polluting and power producing. However, Democrats killed it. Led by the Governor’s energy czar
The 10,500 diesel backup generators attached to data centers in Virginia produce enough pollution to harm public health in the region even if used rarely, according to a new analysis of emissions permits for The Post. https://t.co/1oYI8ZTFg1
I don't know the first thing about VT's board of governors and don't really care much either. But if Spanberger is going to accuse someone of unethical behavior and remove them from their position, she should be forthcoming about what he allegedly did wrong.
Most data centers have semitruck-sized diesel backup generators, making sporadic smoke plumes a fact of life for many in Virginia.
An analysis of the emissions found that pollution from the generators could cause respiratory symptoms and premature death. https://t.co/1oYI8ZTFg1
Let me get this straight. The Virginia State Police are being ordered to check the status of law abiding Virginians who are trying to exercise their 2nd amendment right to buy a firearm, but at the same time they are barred, by Governor Spanberger’s EO1, from alerting federal law enforcement agencies when an illegal immigrant who has been convicted of a violent crime against a Virginian is being released from a Virginia state prison?
